Review today’s explorations and ideas about water. 

Display the photos of the rivers and streams from this morning as well as the photos/videos you took of the streams children made. Ask,

  • What kind of surface did you make your stream on? Was it a good surface for making your stream? Why?
  • Which surfaces absorbed the water? Which surfaces didn’t absorb water?
  • Did you notice whether your stream was on a flat surface or a slanted one? What do you think that did to your stream?  
  • Would you call what we made today a stream or a river? Why? What’s the difference between a stream and a river?
